Warmbluetig is a four-piece modern jazz ensemble drawing upon the interaction of folkloric storytelling with spontaneous improvisation. Led by Australian guitarist and composer, Danica Hobden, the music is heavily inspired by the Australian jazz music scene and its impressionistic approach to composition. The compositions set the scene for the musicians to explore their own personal expression of sincerity and melodrama, and explores weaving textures and rhythms, rich colours, playfulness and curious listening.
The band has performed in numerous venues in Hamburg and will soon release their debut album on 5th July, as part of a larger collaborative project between Sydney-based and Hamburg-based musicians.
